They forgot the completely confused and down trodden.
Dear Antigonos,
I want to thank you for your polite tone at the Homebirth webpage that I left. In addition, I thank you for answering the question I posed, after I left that site. Even though we disagreed and had different positions, you treated me with respect. I appreciate that. I hope that calling others despicable names, as some did so freely there, isn't condoned by you.
I ask questions to better understand the positions of others. There is one question I had remaining. I understand that faithful Jews circumcise their children only out of a religious belief. My question for you is this. Some at that site said they were non-observant Jews who nevertheless circumcised their children. As an observant Jew, do you feel that that is enough? Doesn't Judaism require more from them than that?
As a Catholic, I realize that having one's child baptized is only the beginning of raising that child in the Christian faith. Much more is required of the parents. Unfortunately, too many Christians only set foot inside a church when they are hatched, matched, and dispatched (baptized, married, and buried).
If you would like to answer my question, you can contact me at info@catholicsagainstcirumcision.org
