I'm still trying to understand why our government allowed the parents of the terrorist who attacked teenage students studying Torah to erect a mourning tent, but the Jordanian government forbade it (some of the murderer's family live in Jordan)

It is all very confusing to me. I must admit, I do not have the full picture. Since I am American and I am very ethnocentric. It is all very sad. I once worked on a medical floor and one nurse was Jewish and the other spoke Arabic but not sure where she came from. The Arabic nurse said "If we were home, we would be shooting at each other." I always thought that a strange thing to say.
Well, that was a disgusting little stereotype. Is this supposed to do anything except dehumanize Arabic people and make them easier to shoot?
I'm sorry you feel that way, Dianne. Did you recognize yourself in any of those "stereotypes"? I did.
As a matter of fact, the Arab mother wasn't identified as such -- she is referred to as "jihadi" By no means are all Arabs jihadis. What IS notable, IMO, is that the other mothers WANT their children to live; the "jihadi mom" celebrates death. There's something profoundly disturbing in that.
